Minnetronix

Fri, Jan 21, 2011

The BioScience students visited Minnetronix, a medical device design and manufacturing company in St. Paul, Minnesota.

We toured their state-of-the-art facility, spent time talking with the engineers on staff at Minnetronix and …we were even treated to Jimmy John’s sandwiches for lunch  – a Shattuck-St. Mary’s favorite!

Here’s what the BioScience students said about their experience at Minnetronix:

“Minnetronix was amazing! Throughout the tour and meetings I could never shake the feeling that the dedication and appreciation of each and every employee for their place of work was exceptional by any standard. This, along with their rather welcoming and advocative statements solidified my future goal of earning my masters in engineering.”

“I had never thought about becoming an engineer, but on that trip my eyes were opened to a whole new perspective on this field.”

”…even though I like math, physics, chemistry, and biology, I’ve never thought of becoming an engineer …so, it was meaningful for me to look around [a] company … dedicated to making medical devices.”
